Dark SIDE vid and commentary July 2nd

GreatguyTV commentary:

Do you want to meet all my monsters?
Think you're tough, I know they'll drive you bonkers
Meet them once and they'll forever haunt ya
There's no heroes or villains in this place
Just shadows that dance in my headspace
Leaving nothing but phantoms in their wake (their wake)
There's parts of me I cannot hide (cannot hide)
I've tried and tried a million times (ooh)
La-da-da-di-da
La-da-da-di-da
La-da-da-di-da-da
Cross my heart and hope to die
Welcome to my darkside
Ooh, to my da-da-darkside
Ooh, to my da-da-darkside
Ooh, to my da-da-darkside
Ooh, to my da-da-darkside

Neoni: Queens of the Drop

Neoni – the name itself sounds like a fire emoji (the accursed emoji) come to life. These Blair sisters, Caitlin and Sydney, are straight outta L.A., the land of endless sunshine and Insta-worthy dreams. They started messin' with beats in their middle school days, crafting their own kind of sonic magic before the world even knew what a "squad" was.

Fast forward to 2019 – a year that went viral AF. Their debut single, "DARKSIDE," blew up on TikTok like a trending hashtag. It was the ultimate bop, a song that stuck in your head like a DM notification you can't shake. Success, that fickle queen, blessed them again with "ROYALTY," another banger that cemented their spot in the music biz. Together, these sisterly slaysers racked up a billion streams on Spotify – enough to buy a designer wardrobe for every member of their crew.

But Neoni ain't just about catchy tunes and lit dance floors. Their music is a fire mixtape of electronica, rock, and major girl-boss vibes. Their lyrics are the anthem for the modern queen bee – celebrating self-love, female friendship, and chasing dreams with zero chill. On stage, they transform into energy bombs, captivating audiences with a fierceness that could make a troll delete their account.

Their debut album, "Wars in a Wonderland," dropped in 2021, and it was a total game-changer. Critics loved it, fans went wild – they were basically the Beyoncés of the electronic pop scene at that point. Since then, they've kept the party poppin' with hits like "Funeral," "Blurry," and the ironically-titled "Happy Ever After." With over 283,000 followers on the 'gram, their influence is real. They've been featured in all the major music pubs – Billboard, Rolling Stone, NME – and even shared the stage with industry giants like Marshmello, The Chainsmokers, and Kygo.

The future for Neoni is brighter than a thousand LED lights at a rave. Their music, a potent mix of groove and girl power, will continue to ignite audiences for years to come. These queens of the drop are here to stay, ready to soundtrack the next generation's hustle, one fire track at a time.

I gotta admit, though, I might be a little biased. (Let's be real, who wouldn't be?) I had the good fortune to chat with the two ladies on Instagram with a comment here and a comment there. Charming online acquaintances, to say the least. Just sayin', keep an eye on these future superstars.
